Fall Semester 2009

The fall semester has begun!!

It started on 24th of August, and it has been 3 weeks since the school began!!

Time flies sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fast!!

I am taking 16 hours this semester, so I am very busy.

MGMT330 Management and Organizational Behavior



I like some classes, but they are hard!!


I already had two exams which were Environmental Science and Intermediate Accounting.

They were difficult.

I have to work harder next time.





There is an organization called ISA which stands for International Students Association.

I am a treasurer of ISA this year.

I will be also busy for ISA, but it will be fun for sure!!



Even I am busy, I am still enjoying my semester so far :D

There are only 12 weeks left!!

I am going back to Japan for Christmas break :)

I have not bought airplane tickets yet, but I am very excited :)

I cannot wait!!

OnE MorE WeeK

There is only one week left to take classes!!

I am so happy about that!!!!

However, I will be very busy.

I have a paper due and a take home exam due on Monday,

I have a journal due on Wednesday,

and,,,,

I have a COMPREHENSIVE final exam on Thursday!!!!!!!!!

It will kill me!!!

Today is August 1st...

Time flies so fast!!!

My fall semester begins in three weeks.

My summer is gonna be over soon~....

That is so sad ne~.....

I am not looking forward the fall semester, but

I am looking forward to going back home for Christmas!!

It has been a year since I went home,

so it will be a year and a half when I go home!

I might fly to SFO and stay there for a few days before going back to Japan!

Also, I am thinking to visit South Korea too.

I am not sure about those plans yet, but I am gonna make plans for the winter break

with Erika, my good friend at ACU!!

Anyway,

I will enjoy the rest of the summer :D

My Classes

My weekend has already began!!

I did not have my economics class at all this week because my professor was gone a whole week.

I was very happy about that.

My English class was also canceled on Monday, Tuesday, and yesterday.

I went to school yesterday because I wanted my professor to check my paper.

However, she just SAW my paper for only 15 seconds!!! I cannot believe it.

I asked some questions I wanted to ask, and I was done with the meeting with the professor.

What a wasting time!! It was not required to go to see the professor yesterday; it was optional,

so I should not have gone there...lol

I went to English class today because I needed to turned the paper in.

When I asked my professor if we were doing anything after submitting the paper yesterday,

she said we will start the new section poetry.

BUT!!

What we did today in class after handing in papers was to know the information for next week,

got some pieces of paper we will use next week, and listening to music.

The class started at 8 in the morning, and it was done at 8:35!!

I was happy to get out of the class early, but the professor let students get out of the classroom

so early EVERY DAY!! We sometimes stay until 9 or 9:15, but it is not usual...

I know it is very cheap tuiton,

but we are still paying for it.

I do not want to waste money from my parents!!

SuMMeR CLassES

I started my summer classes last Wednesday again.

I am taking English and microeconomics at Cisco Junior College during summer II.

Classes are not hard, but I have a lot of writing assignments for the English class!!

I do not have any homework for the economics class, but I worry how the first exam is gonna be.

I do not have classes until Thursday next week after my economics class is done today.

I am so excited about it, but I have a paper due on Thursday next week.

I will work on it very hard this weekend!!

Also, I will cook a lot this weekend!!

I am gonna bake cheesecake :)

Also, if I can buy all ingredients I need, I want to try to cook Thai curry :D

Birthday

Today is July 7th, and it is my birthday!!!!!!

Thank you friends for the surprise party and the messages!

I was very surprised, but I was sooooo happy!!

I became 21 today!!

from the morning...

I woke up before 6 this morning, and I took a bus to go to Cisco Jr. College with my friend Emi.

I will take classes there from next Wednesday,

so I wanted to practice if I could take a bus without any problem lol.

I was going to do that on my birthday lol,

but since I had to get ISBN from the bookstore, I decided to go to Cisco by bus today.

It went so well, but it will take about one hour from ACU to Cisco. Just one way!!!!!

But the good thing is that it costs only $.75 to take a bus (one way).

I came back around 9:30am. Everything went perfect! haha.




I had lunch with Emi and Jason from China, and I made fried chicken.



This afternoon, I made a tie-dye t-shirt with my Japanese friends!!!

It was fun :D

We cannot see how our t-shirts look like because we have to leave them for a couple of days,

so we are gonna show t-shirts each other on Wednesday.

I hope it will look good :)

After that, we did a little planting lol. It was also fun.



Now I am home watching DVDs of the drama Full House. I love that drama :D:D

I cooked dinner first and I watched the DVD eating fried rice.

I am still watching Full House...haha.



Today, I had a kind of full schedule lol. BUT it was soooooooooooo much fun :)

Back in Abilene

I came back to Texas last night.

I am happy to be back here, but I miss California sooooooooooooooo bad! haha.

I had a really good time in Berkeley and San Francisco.

It was the second time to visit SF, but I really love it :)

I want to go back there again :D

Time to Fly...

I am leaving California tomorrow, and I am going back to Texas...

I miss people there, but I do not wanna leave here...

I like California.

I like San Francisco.

I enjoyed my stay here so much.

OnE MorE DaY!!

I have two more days to be in California,
but I just go to the airport and fly back to Texas on Tuesday, so I have only one day left to hang out with Erika in California...
I miss Abilene, but I love California sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!

I am in Berkely, California‼

I left Abilene at 6:40 in the morning, and I arrived at San Francisco at 10:30am (12：30pm in Abilene:)
I took a train and a taxi, and I finally arrived at Berkely‼

I got to see Erika‼Yeah :D

We had lunch at the cafeteria of her dorm, we walked in downtown, and we are back in her room.

We will take a break, will have dinner, and we might hang out with people who stay at UCB.




We are gonna go to SAN FRANCISCO‼ JAPAN TOWN‼

TwO MorE DayS

Since my communication class is done, I have been relaxed and hanging out with friends :D

There are only two days left to go to CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!

I went there three years ago, but I did not know anything about places, so I have to do research before going on Thursday lol.

DONE!!!!!!!!!

I took a final exam of my communication class this morning, and I am done with the class!!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!

I have three weeks off before my classes at Cisco.

I am not gonna study this weekend! I do not have to! YEAHHHHHHH!!

Final Week

This week is the final week of my communication class.

I will be CRAZY busy this week...

One speech is worth 30points, but another one is worth 200 points!

Also, the final exam is worth 200 points!!

I cannot believe it.

I really want to get A for this course, but I will do my best.

I went to Beltway today again :D

I did not know two songs, but I sang one of my favorite ones, so it is OK :) haha.

I am not Christian, but I like to go to Beltway maybe because of music? hehe.

Many of my friends also go there every week, so it is a good chance to see them and talk with them.

At Beltway, many people stay there for a while after the service and talk with friends.

Finally!!!

I finally talked with my friends that I really I wanted to!!!

I have not talked to them for a while.

My friend is coming to pick me up at 10:15, and we are going to Beltway :)

I do not like Rock Music and too crowded places, but I like Betltway :D

After church, I am gonna cook lunch and am going to the library...

I need to start studying for the final and preparing for my last two speeches!!

I spent almost two hours to cook dinner.

It took long because I was doing all wor very slowly, but it is OK since my homework is already done lol.

My Weekend

My weekend is almost over.
My weekend is alright. It was fun but kinda...

On Friday, after the test is done, I took a nap for 5 hours.
I just lay down on my bed or on the couch in the living room.

But, Erika and I thought we need exercise, so we took a walk to have dinner.
It was fun. We went to Rosa's.

On Saturday, Erika and I went to Ann's Thai Kitchen for dinner.
I love Thai curry♥

After the dinner, we went to our friend's house at UP. A girl was also there too. Four of us were gonna hang out on Saturday.

We went to Wal-Mart, did a little bit of shopping, and we went back to the friend's house.

We talked, watched videos on Youtube, we watched the DVD of the Culture Show.

We hung out from 8:30pm to 3am.

On Sunday, I went to Beltway. I liked it.

On Saturday night, my friend and I went to UP to do our homework.

And, today...

I got most of my assignment done and had lunch with my friends at McDonalds.

I am gonna go to the library soon , finish the homework, and print it.

After that, I am gonna hang out with my friends again!!!

Beltway

I went to Beltway this morning.

We sang about 4 or 5 songs, and I knew all of them.

I love to sing :D Not by myself lol.

After the service, I saw and talked with my friends.

I enjoyed it, but I did not see my firends I have not seen for a while.

I hope I can see them soon, but since it is summer now, it is a kind of hard to see them often...

I think both of them are in Abilene, but I am not sure...

First Week

The first week of my summer class at ACU is done!!!

There are two weeks left!!

I had a test today.

The exam was not hard, but the test covered 6 chapters. It was a lot of work....

I came home after my exam, and I slept from 10:30am to 3:10pm.

Haha, I slept almost 5 hours!!

I am still tired, I think the weather is one of the reasos why I am still tired...

It is hot today. I miean inside the house.

I have not gone outside since I came back from school around 9:50 today.

I want to eat something, but I do not know what to eat...lol.

I want to take a shower too...

BUT

I am too lazy to do something.

I do not want to move...haha.

June...

It is already June!!! I cannot believe it.

My summer class will begin tomorrow...

Hello, everybody!

I am in the library with my roommate right now :D

We came to campus together, and we were talking about some of our friends.

After that, most people we talked about showed up lol.

It was so funny. haha.

I am gonna go to the mall soon, and I am gonna have dinner with my friend.

I really want to enjoy my break.

I have been enjoying my break so far, but my summer class begins next Tuesday, a week from tomorrow.

The class I am taking next week is communication which we have to make 5 or 6 speeches...

I really hate that... I hope I can servive.

I will study hard. I guess I will live in the library when my class starts.

Just three weeks... I will servive!!

My Break in May

My break started about two weeks ago, and I have been enjoying the holidays.

I do not have a class until June, so I am enjoying my break with friends.

I need to do a few things before the class starts, and I have done one of them!!

I got a permit for driving!! Yeah~!!!!

I am gonna learn how to drive soon, and hopefully, I can get a license during June.

FINALLY

I started my off campus life!!

No more dorm!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy.

I moved in a new house on Saturday.

I have one roommate,

but I had three roommates this past weekend.lol.

It was fun :)

I have not studied since my last final exam which is the Bible is done,

but I will start studying again this week.

I said I hate packing, but I also hate UNPACKING...lol

But I think I am doing a good job! hahahahaha

Only Finals Left!!

Yesterday was the last day of classes of the semester.

We have a day-off, called Dead Day, on Monday, and we will have final exams next week.

I have four final exams.

I do not have any tests on Friday, so I am happy!!

I am gonna sleep after my exams are done, and I am gonna back to move out.

I already moved my some stuff to the new house.

There are only 7 days left to live in a dorm!!

I am so excited.

My finals are gonna be tough, but I will do my best.

I wanna get best scores of each exam.

My FeelinG

Final exams are coming in two weeks.

I have a lot of things to do.

I need to start studying for the finals, especially accounting, and I also need to catch up with my macro-economics class.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is really hard.

I cannot get good grades in that class.

I do not know why.

I really do not want to take the final of economics.

If we can get average of B on each assignment, exams, quizes, written assignments, and excel assignments, we do not have to take the final exam.

I really want to skip it...

But my grade is not so good...

So I need to study hard, but I cannot concentrate on my studying these days.

I just talk, talk, and talk.

When I talk to my friends or family, I can study for a while but not so long.

I do not know what to do.

My friends encourage me, and it helps me a lot to study.

I am upset with my school work, but I have some more things that bother me recently.

One is my English skill, including all writing, reading, and speaking.

Another reason is... I really cannot do anything with it.

But it makes me feel depressed and sad..........................

Some of my friends say to sleep to me.

I want to sleep too, but I have a hard time to go to bed.

I know the reason.

Because of that reason, I usually cannot take a nap either...

So I always cannot get enough hours of sleeping...

My friends care about me and stay with me when I do not want to be alone.

It helps me a lot.

April 19

I went to church with my friend this morning.

I was late, so I just went to the service.

I missed the worship, I just listened to the half of the sermon.

After the service, I had lunch with some people from my school.

We went to Buffet City. The food was pretty good.

My American friend gave me a ride today.

He also gave a Chinese girl a ride.

Three of us, two Chinese guys, four more Chinese people, and some Americans ate lunch together.

Some of them go to different church though.

It was a good time.

I have been doing nothing since I came back to my dorm.

I just took a nap.

I am going to the library in one or two hours, and I will study.

Also, I need to use two meal plans!!

Shades Show

I went to see the Shades Show with my friends tonight.

Shades is a dance group in my university.

Some of my friends are in it, and they are so cool.

The show was great, and I really enjoyed it :):)

I want to try to practice some steps some day. haha.

I have not been to College Park for a long time.

April 13

It is already April 14, but it is OK. lol

I had a pretty good day today.

I had something to talk to my friend,and it was good conversation.

I am in my dorm right now and am trying to catch up with my MACROECONOMICS class.

I really do not like this class.

I really do not understand economics.

So I worry about MICROECONOMICS in suumer.

Some people told me that microeconomics is harder to understand than macroeconomics.

I hope I can do well.

I am studying with my friends now.

Each of us is studying different subjects.

One of them from is studying history,

and another friend is studying information systems.

It is hard to stay up lol, but it is fun:D EXCEPT the reason why we need to stay up late or all night.

You know what I mean?

It is fun to stay up late with friends for fun like party or chatting. BUT it is not fun to study...haha.

Well,, I gotta go back to study.

Well, I might take a nap a while and will study hard later.

April 12

I went to Beltway church this morning.

The church is huge, and there are three services every week. Each servise has more than 700 people.

There were more people today because of the Easter break.

I went to the second service at 9:40.

Three people got baptized, and one of them is a new student at my school.

When I saw her baptism, I felt something.

I do not know how to explain what I felt, but I felt something.

I need to try to learn more about Christianity.

Whenever something relating to Chritianity, I feel "why cannot I understand? Everybody else does!"

But I know reasons why I do not understand what pastor says during service or what my friend says in the Bible study.

The first reason is the language.

But I do not try hard to learn or know more about God.

I just say it that I need to.

Not only saying, but I need to DO it. I mean I need to try to learn it.

Just saying something is not good. We should DO what we said.




After church, I went to my friend's house and made food the party this afternoon.

We made a lot of sushi and rice balls :D

It was so much fun!!

The new week is starting tomorrow.

I will work hard with my school work and other things.

I did not study this weekend, but I will work hard from tomorrow!

Only three weeks and a week of finals are left until the summer break comes!

I know I will be in America this summer, but I do not know what I am doing.

I know I will take classes, but I do not know how my schedules are gonna be.

I need to pass two cleps during may or the beginning of June.

If not, I have to make new schedule for the second half of summer and for next semester...

Today April 11

The new President of ISA(International Students' Association) told me that I got the position of the treasurer yesterday.

New officers had breakfast at his house this morning.

We had crepe, and it was really good!

After breakfast, I went to Hobby Lobby, had lunch, and went to Wal-Mart with my friends.

The lunch was red curry with pork of medium at Ann-Thai Kitchen.

After I came back to my dorm, I took a nap and did my laundry.

Around 8, I went to my friend's house for the birthday party of our friends.

We had a piece of cake and talked.

After guys left, girls talked like we did before.

We did not read the Bible or books relating to it today.

We talked about "what is kindness?" and "what is strength?" tonight.

It was good conversation.

I hope I can say more opinion or comments.

It was fun day today.

City of Abilene

Today is Good Friday! No class! Yeah~!!


I woke up at 7:30 in the morning, and I joined the event called "Sponsorship Day?", which is for international students at ACU and HSU.

We first went to the City Hall of Abilene.

Next, We went to the museum called Frontier Texas.
I have been there twice, but it was fon :) lol

We went back to the City Hall, had lunch, and talked with people from City Link(Bus Company in Abilene).

After that, we went somewhere, but I do not remember the name of the place..... I am sorry..

Then we came back to campus.

I could not explain with details about today, but please forgive me!! haha.

I am gonna hang out with my friends this evening,

and I am having breakfast with some poeple tomorrow morning:D:D

I have some plans for Sunday too, so this weekend is gonna be fun!

Of course, I am gonna study too.....

Hi, everyone! I am Chigusa Nagayama.

I creadted a google account and decided to write blogs in English.

I have my Japanese blog, but I will try to writemore blogs in English here.


I will introduce myslef today.

I am a sophomore at Abilene Christian University.

I came to Texas in May 2007, and I took ESL(English as a Second Language) for two semesters.

This is my third semester to take regular classes.

My major is accounting and financial management. I just declared to be a double major with these two.

I live in a dorm now, but I live in a house after I move out in May! I am so excited :D

My future roommate is from Malaysia, ans she is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet♡♡

Oh, I have not said what I like...

I like to watch and play sports.

I belonged to tennis club in middle school.
I also like to play badminton :D

For watching, I watch soccer and baseball a lot, but I love to watch other sports too! If I know rules...lol

I love to eat:D I love sweets, especially chocolate.

I always have food with chocolate in my room.

When I do not have any, I feel sad so bad.....hahaha.

I also love to talk with my friends. Face-to-face and chatting on the Internet.
